Project Need
Given the rise in deportations lately, as well as the White House’s announcement of the removal of DACA, there’s been a wave of fear and confusion across our community.
We recognize the need for civic engagement, and for students to be informed of their rights as well as what resources are available to them.
Therefore, we propose the establishment of an annual DACA community fair at our school. This fair would not only provide a place to hold workshops to inform immigrants, but also provide college assistance and resources that are available to DACA students.
The fair will act as an outlet that will partially serve as a resource center for DACA students, as well as a place to inform students of what DACA really is and how to help advocate for it.
